Portraits

I learned what portraits meant to me as I worked as a black and white printer for photojournalists in New York City. I made contact sheets and would have the entire photo session in my hands. I noticed that certain photojournalists had a similar look they would work to accomplish with each subject; other photojournalists explored and made each subject unique. The latter became my mantra.
