Sand Patterns
I started photographing sand about 10 years ago when I was running along the beach in Ocean City, NJ. I stopped as I noticed black sand mixed in with what I knew to be the normal color of sand. Because of the tides, patterns were made. Many of my photographs do not have the black sand mixture. They are a much more subtle pattern. I continued photographing these sand patterns more recently as I stayed in Ocean City for a week each summer for the past 5 years.
